Cookery

Our cookery programmes empower children & young people to develop the practical food skills and knowledge to enable them to live healthier lifestyles. Sessions are fun and exciting whilst providing additional opportunities for young people to practice and apply basic skills such as communication, literacy, numeracy and financial capability.

‘... we will: Commission Estyn to examine the extent to which schools and local authorities are taking action to improve health, nutrition and fitness as an adjunct to lifting educational attainment overall.’ (The Learning Country: Vision into Action, Welsh Assembly Government, 2006).

Our cookery programmes can also be delivered in the outdoors or in conjunction with our key agenda’s such as ESDGC to focus on global issues, people, cultures and their food!
Cyfleon have successfully delivered informal and accredited OCN programmes with young people at Schools, After School Clubs, Youth groups, Family & Community health projects.
